As an environmentally friendly energy producer it is at our disposal free of charge.
Contrary to fossil fuels, such as coal, natural gas and oil, the sun offers a "clean" alternative to the energy supply with a considerably better "CO2 balance" than the previous energy suppliers.
Compared with the estimated life period of the sun for further approx. 5 billion years, the shortage of fossil raw materials is an essential factor for the changeover of the energy supply to solar panel power plants as long-term alternatives in future.
According to evaluations of the Agency for Renewable Energy, the complete world´s energy requirements could be supplied by using the solar power on an area of 700 x 700 km in the Sahara desert.
In Germany alone, the solar radiation received per day equals an amount of energy which exceeds the current energy requirements of the federal republic of Germany eight times over.
